A Day in the Life of a Quadriplegic

VA clinic

I had an appointment at the VA clinic today for blood drawn and urine test. I am glad that there is a small clinic here in Naples as opposed to driving all the way to Tampa and back. However the clinic is so small they cannot accommodate for me being a quad in a wheelchair. They have no Hoyer to lift me for major visits, so I have to use the Choice Program (a program used when a VA Hospital is 150 or more miles away from your home) and be seen at Naples Collier Hospital or drive all the way to Tampa. I use them for my OT and PT also, they aren’t very good yet, but we are learning how to work with them. LOL. ?
