A Day in the Life of a Quadriplegic

Mission: Christmas Cards for Veterans

Hi Everyone,

This year I would like to take Christmas cards to the Veterans at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Since they do not receive any cards. I felt that this was the least I could do for them. I received literally 100 cards when I was staying there for 5 months. To be told by the nurses that I was the first person that EVER receive cards there. This broke my heart hearing this news! I vowed at that point that I would not let this happen anymore.

You may be thinking okay. Just a card? Well this card could be the difference of life or death to a veteran in the hospital. I also noticed while I was staying there that most of the veterans didn’t even want to leave their rooms. So I would poke my head in and say hi! To let them know they were not forgotten. To a veteran a simple Christmas card will bring joy throughout the whole year to come.

I would like to continue Mission: Christmas Cards for Veterans every year! But of course, I need your help. I am looking for Christmas cards that have not been written in.  Just send me an email at [email protected] and I will email you back with all of the information you need to get them to me. There is no such thing as not enough to send, any amount is accepted. So wither it’s 1 or 1000. Anything will help!

Let’s put a smile on the veterans faces this year!

I love and appreciate you all!

Renee
